May 27 2017 – Drove the SR-7 Scenic Byway through Arkansas to Hot Springs National Park.

Did you know that Hot Springs AR is Bill Clinton’s boyhood town?  He used to live at 1011 Park Avenue.

   

No Tours.  No Trespassing!

Staying at the local KOA campground.  Holiday weekend so it’s pretty full.  Had the miniature golf course all to ourselves. 

Walked through Fordyce Bath House

Strolled along the Grand Promenade – a National Recreation trail since 1982.  Several park trails begin and end from the promenade.

Went up the Hot Springs Mountain Tower

Had a great lunch at Fat Jack’s.  And then filled two 5-gal bottles of hot spring water.

Hiked Hot Springs Mountain Trail, Gulpha Gorge Trail, Floral Trail, Dogwood Trail and Goat Rock Trail
