June 2 2017 – left Little Rock and drove 2 hrs to Memphis TN.  Staying at Tom Sawyer’s RV Park.  Right on the bank of the great Mississippi River. Reminds me of “Ol’ Man River” from Showboat!

June 3:  used the city trolley to hop on and off at different sights.  Elvis Presley Plaza, Beale Street, Farmers’ Market, Gibson Guitar Showroom, Orpheum Theater, Memphis Music Hall of Fame, AutoZone Park (Memphis Redbirds baseball, AAA affiliate of St Louis Cardinals), FedEx Forum (Memphis Grizzlies Basketball).  Had a delicious BBQ lunch at the Blues City Café.  Before heading back, we stopped at the Bass Pro Shop (like a Cabela’s).

June 4:  We saw a lot for quite a rainy day!  Toured Graceland and the Lisa Marie Jet.  Spent almost 4 hrs at Graceland.
Stopped and had a big lunch at SOB (South of Beale) Café (featured on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives).
After lunch, we toured Sun Studio – sound & recording studio where Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis (and many more) got their start.
Also saw the Civil Rights Museum and Lorraine Hotel (Rm 306) site of assassination of Dr Martin Luther King.
Tomorrow - June 6th - we head to Mammoth Caves National Park in Kentucky.
