Thursday - Sept 22 2016

(Note: this is a re-post. Previous one is missing - got deleted somehow)

The 6 of us went for our morning walk.

After the walk we drove into Beaufort.
Had lunch at Plum's.

Chartered in 1711, it is the second-oldest city in South Carolina, behind Charleston.  Also, Beaufort has served as the backdrop for films such as Forrest Gump, The Great Santini, The Big Chill, GI Jane, Platoon. Prince of Tides and Forces of Nature – to name just a few!

We took a horse-drawn carriage ride through the historic part of the city.  Learned about Beaufort's civil war history, saw Antebellum and Victorian architecture as well as some Hollywood movie sites.

After the nice carriage ride, we walked through town and did some shopping - stopped for some chocolates, and the guys found a cigar shop.
